Course Objectives :
- This workshop aims to bring to students the kind of imagination and passion for Creative Writing that can be sparked in young writers to carry forward into new courses and confidence.
Course Structure :
This workshop will focus on creative writing and telling our own stories. It will focus, like a camera, on our potential, whether in our neighborhoods or on adventures, as a creative writer. It will reveal the honor of telling the stories of our lives and the lives of those we admire, cherish, or want to explore further. It will focus on the beautiful combination of storytelling and documentary. As Creative Writers, we come to learn more about ourselves and our communities than we ever imagined. This course will widen the lens on each student’s writing and experiences every day.
Course materials will be provided. The class size will be limited to ensure individual attention is given to each student and encourage maximum interaction and creativity. Suitable for all levels.
This course is co-hosted by HKU’s groundbreaking Moving Poetry programme.
