Yale Visiting International Student Program (Y-VISP) is an honour programme at Yale University, designed for undergraduates from selective partner institutions. Selected students will join the Yale undergraduate community for a full academic year. Successful students will enrol in Yale undergraduate courses and live with Yale students in one of 12 residential colleges. They will also participate in the extracurricular activities available to all Yale undergraduates. Please visit the Y-VISP website for details.

 

Who Can Join

Application is available to all full-time non-first year, non-final year undergraduate students who:

  • Have already completed at least one year of study at the time of application (preference will be given to students who are currently in their second year of study and will go to Yale in their third year)
  • Have good academic performanceMaintain a high CGPA of 3.5 or above, or are among the top 10% of the cohort
  • Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English; TOEFL ibt 100, IELTS 8.0 or equivalent is suggested

 

How to Apply

*Only short-listed students are required to submit Faculty Recommendation and Coordinator Recommendation in January 2018

 

Important Notes

  • Yale does not offer majors in Business, Law, Medicine, Education or Dentistry
  • Courses in Engineering and Science may differ considerably from those offered at HKU
